Senior Emily Forster has been selected as an NHS Scholarship semifinalist and will receive a $3,200 award to attend the college of her choice. She was chosen from more than 11,000 applicants by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the parent organization of NHS.

    Since 1946, NASSP has distributed more than $15 million in scholarships to support college access and student success. Forster was chosen based on her work demonstrated to support the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

    “Emily is our chapter President this year and has been instrumental in improving our systems, service and participation,” NHS sponsor Marguerite Swilling said. “We are excited for her. After graduation, she will be truly missed.”
