Being part of first senior class brings pressure and pride

As the first graduating class, there is a different kind of pressure on what our expectations are and how excited we feel for the upcoming events. At the same time it sets the tone that we are almost adults and we’ll be in the real world in less than a year.

Our schedule involves coming back from summer and applying to colleges, arranging college tours, then ordering senior things. We have cap and gowns, invitations to send, and our snazzy shirts that say senior class of 2012. So much to do and so little time, but the thing is that it will get done. We will graduate and we’ll move on to the next phase in our lives.

As a junior I didn’t realize that high school would go by so quickly. Just a few more weeks and it’ll be the beginning of my senior year with crazy long nights of homework and studying for the SAT.

Childhood is almost over and I feel like I made the most of it. I’m ready to be done and be gone even if I feel like I’m leaving part of me here. This school will grow and become something great, but I will be known as the one that help start it and for always be Alpha class 2012.
