Junior Nicholas Marillo

Starting November 1, the seven hospitality students will be working at Gigi’s Cupcakes, Mighty Fine Burgers, the Cedar Park Center, and Edible Arrangements.

They were going to work at the Round Rock Center as well, but the Center only wanted one student throughout the year instead of having the students rotate like they are planning to do.

“The students might still work there,” teacher Jody Garner said. “But not the whole year.”

Students will be able to get a feel of what it’s like to be working in the hospitality industry.

“I’m looking forward to working at Edible Arrangements,” junior Hailey Stilwell said. “I think it would be cool to see what they do.”

Interning at these four places will allow students to be able to understand what it’s like to work in the hospitality services.

“I want to own a bar one day,” junior Nicholas Manllo said. “So doing the internships can really help me.”
