“You’re my butter half” mural
2000 E. MLK Blvd.
Austin, Texas 78756

Located in East Austin, this is definitely an adorable mural to take photos with your “better half.” The mural was painted on the side of the United Way of Greater Austin in 2012 as part of their rebranding effort. With its bright colors and lots of lawn space, this is an awesome place to take photos with your sweetheart. Who doesn’t love a good pun?

Visiting the Hope Outdoor Gallery, which is more commonly known as the Austin Graffiti Park, is an experience unique to Austin. The multi-leveled walls filled with graffiti art make an eye-catching area to take photos. There’s a great LOVE concrete installation that’s permanent to take pictures with. The rest of the art is ever-changing, making this a cool picture spot year round.

“Hi, How Are You?” frog mural
408 W. 21st St.
Austin, Texas 78705

This mural near The University of Texas campus is one of the many that embodies the “Keep Austin Weird” mantra. Based on a Daniel Johnston album cover from 1993, the mural was commissioned in 1993 by a record store on the Drag. Baja Fresh planned to remove the mural when they took over the location in 2004, but Austinites convinced the store to keep it. That chunk of the wall remains with the iconic amphibian, making this mural a great place to take a selfie while walking around the Drag.
