After agreeing to watch a vacant Colorado hotel with his family for the winter, author Jack Torrence (Jack Nicholson) is slowly pushed to insanity by the isolation. As Jack’s son, Danny (Danny Lloyd), discovers the secrets behind the hotel through his telepathic premonitions, Jack becomes increasingly more violent and hostile. “Here’s Johnny!” was never thought of the same after Nicholson’s creepy rendition.
