From a Raider to a Grizzly

Journalism I staffer nervous and excited about moving to Glenn High School

Trevor Rubio, Journalism I Staffer

First, I was a Raider. Now, I will become a Grizzly. I am going to Glenn High School in the fall, and I’m both nervous and excited.

I am nervous because that this will be a new high school for me and in the past, it’s taken quite awhile to get used to getting into the new school. One of the reasons it takes some time to get used to a new school is because I don’t know a whole lot of people into the school I am going into. There’s also the fact there could be some pretty bad stuff at the school such as bad people, bad teachers or a bad environment.

Another reason I am nervous to go there is because I’m really not that sociable. I seem like a guy who likes to talk a lot, but I’m just incredibly quiet and have very few friends.

But I am excited to go to Glenn because this would be the first brand new school that I will be entering. Sure there’d be some issues at first, but I think that I’ll enjoy the experience and what the school also has to offer. Also, when I go there, my class will be the first ones to graduate from Glenn.

Another reason why I am excited to go to the new high school is because that it’s has a much shorter distance compared to Rouse. In fact, Glenn is actually a walking distance from where I live. I admit I love my family, but sometimes, I just want a little walk for myself.

Although I may be nervous to go into a new high school, I am also excited to see what the experience will be like.
