Sophomore waits two more years until her prom night

Prom.

Possibly the biggest day of my life.

Ready for it to hurry up and come already!

Opposed to people that think that it’s “dumb” or a waste of time/money.

Must wait a whole two years to be able to go.

I’m the kind of girl that will completely believes prom will be the best day of high school. It is what will make the last four years of high school tolerable. Even if the world randomly decides to end on that day because some ancient calendar says it will, I will still be having a good time because I will be at prom and it will be like I’m in one of those, action-end of the world-romance movies that have been coming out lately.

I don’t count junior prom as a real prom though. It’s like when Rouse tries to say that the “Forthcomings” are the same as all the Homecomings in other high schools, but they really aren’t and they won’t be until we have a graduating class. Same goes for prom.

One of the biggest things that I’m most excited for is what my friends and I will do before and after the actual prom. I think it would be great if we got a limo and then went to the lake or something along those lines afterwards. It would let everyone relax and hangout without having that hawk-eyed AP’s walking around trying to catch anyone who is dancing too close.

I have heard from just about everyone older than me, that would sit still long enough, if they liked prom when they went. Most people say no. I don’t understand this. I think that everyone always thinks that the room will look like a scene from a Hollywood set or their dress will be prefect and nobody will have the same one as them, because that would be crazy. I think that they were too caught up in the details to really enjoy the amazing things of prom and just couldn’t dance the night away.

I cannot wait until my senior year so I can walk under those super cheesy, yet wonderful, balloon arch ways and dance the night away.
