For dessert, Holy Cacao is the most authentic and sweet worthy. Skip the cake balls and get your money’s worth with one of their cake shakes. Yup, that’s an piece of cake dropped in a blender and mixed with ice cream, for one sweet shake. Red velvet shakeHoly Cacao

The red velvet shake at Holy Cacao is great for a warm afternoon in Austin. For just $6, I received a creamy, perfectly blended treat. The shake was almost too good to be true. With actual red velvet cake blended into the ice cream, I could not think of a better duo. –Kailey Hahn

shake with vanillaHoly Cacao

Holy Cacao? More like holy cow, was this shake good. The only reason I went to the infamous truck was for the cake shake, and I was not let down. My “Divinely Delicious” dessert was created with scratch-made vanilla cake and blended with vanilla ice cream. The texture of the combination was something new to me, but it was definitely more interesting than your average milkshake. The environment surrounding the truck complemented their sweet desserts perfectly, and the shake was easily worth the $6 I paid for it. I definitely plan on going back to try all of the other flavors they offer. -Bailey Kerns

Chocolate SkaeHoly Cacao

This nationally recognized European-styled frozen hot chocolate with thick creamy whipped cream is one of the best thing you’ll ever taste. The combination of hot and cold was blended just right with this hot chocolate. Towards the middle of the drink you could slurp the cold smooth ice cream; if you’re a chocolate lover, this is a perfect drink for the summer time. The convenience of just walking down the street and grabbing one to go is great, but just know once you start you can’t stop. –Shayla Anderson

Conscious Cravings

Jordan's smoothie
This Banana Mango smoothie was really natural tasting. Not being into things too sweet, the lack of artificial flavors and sugars really made this smoothie great. And the mango actually stood out more than the banana which was a nice surprise, considering bananas are frequently put in smoothies and are kind of over used. The amount for the price was a good deal. By the time I had finished, I was satisfied without feeling like I sucked down a 32 oz. drink. –Jordan Buie
