Choir earned a Sweepstakes trophy at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest last week.

“It was nice to win sweepstakes because we’ve been working on it since before Christmas break,” freshman Kaitlyn Tatum said. “It was really exciting because we’re the youngest choir we have, we’re all freshmen, and it was nice that we could get the same scores as the more mature choirs.”

All four choirs earned a rating of Superior in concert singing and a rating of Superior for music sight reading which earned them the sweepstakes trophy, the highest award they could receive.
