Senior Bryson King placed fourth in boys singles at the district tournament, April 5-6. King beat a Stony Point and McNeil player to reach the third place match.

“My second match when I played McNeil was my best match because the kid I played last summer and junior year,” King said. “I beat him and then after that he beat me four times. Then on Wednesday for the last time I beat him and it ended his high school career and it was pretty cool.”

After making it to the semifinals, King lost the third place match to the Westwood player, 6-3, 6-2.

“I think I ended my career in a good way,” King said. “I got up to the semis and finished fourth. It’s better than I thought I was going to, it’s bittersweet.”
