Fourteen choir students advance to state solo contest

Thirty-one students receive excellent or superior ratings

Thirty-one students received excellent and superior ratings for their solos at the UIL Solo Contest, Feb. 27. Fourteen of those students will advance to the State Solo Contest in May.

“I’m really excited that I got a one during my Solo & Ensemble contest piece,” junior Jordan Rampy said. “Because I worked really hard on it and I wasn’t expecting that good of a rating but I’m really proud.”
