The Front Office
Let’s be real here, this school needs our office staff. Anytime you have a question about something on campus, if you are leaving early or arriving to school late, or when you are in need of directions the office staff is always there for all the students and staff and is more than happy to help. The office staff doesn’t get enough recognition. Every office staff member is an asset to our campus, and without the school’s office staff Rouse wouldn’t be fully functioning. GRADE: A
Big Picture Night
Big Picture Night left teachers and other participants of the Curriculum and College fair frustrated. A spring pep rally was scheduled at the same time, leaving few visitors to the fair. Teachers spent a lot of time and hard work preparing for a wasted night. In addition, spring athletes felt slighted that they didn’t receive a pep rally during regular school hours like fall athletes had. Big Picture Night is a great idea, but it needs to have events scheduled separately for the most effectiveness. GRADE: C-
Bubble Soccer Game
The bubble soccer game hosted by Student Council was a big success. All of the proceeds from the ticket sales went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help grant three kids wishes, and we raised about $500. Not only did the school raise a substantial amount of money for a good cause but the game was a great time for students and staff. GRADE: A
