Student Art Show, March 10

Attendees will have chance to vote for their favorite art pieces

In an effort to kick off National Youth Art Month, the Art Department will host the fifth annual campus student art show after school in the ACT building, Thursday, March 10 from 5-7:30 p.m.

“I brought this show from the other school I came from,” Art teacher Cynthia Acevedo said. “Plus the State Association really encourages us to do something for National Youth Art Month.”

The show will include paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculptures and photographers from the school year. With more than 10 different categories, people can vote on their favorite pieces of artwork.

“I think it’s going to be really cool,” sophomore Mackenzie Bailey said. “It’ll be a nice way to get publicity and responses about our artwork out there.”
