Club Spotlight: REACT

REACT officers

Tyler Roberge, Rumbler Staffer

What is REACT? “REACT is a student-run organization for kids who love theatre but don’t have much time to take a theatre class. It’s a good way for someone who isn’t in theatre to get their foot in the door.” -senior Sean Companion

Club Members: Between 25 and 30, but all are welcome.

Meetings: The next mandatory meeting is at the end of the semester, but all other meetings are scheduled by the officers.

What do you want to be remembered for? “I want to be remembered for starting an inclusive club that really gets people interested in theatre. I love theatre so much and it sucks that not everybody has the ability to be in our main stage shows, but I think everybody deserves to be able to do it if the love it.” -senior Brian Robinson

What do you want to see happen because of club? “I’m hoping the club brings in the entire Rouse High School community. I want people who haven’t been in a main stage show to still have the opportunity to let students get the theatre experience.” –Sponsor Stephanie Smith

You know you’re in REACT when… “You’re surrounded by students outside of the theatre department that want to participate in performances despite not being in the department itself outside of the department.” –Sean Companion
