Constant Complainers: teenagers always have something whine about
“That’s wrong.”
“I hate this.”
“This sucks.”
“You suck.”
These words surround the students as the walk down the hall, flowing from the mouths of the “Negative Nellie’s” of the school. Teenagers always have something to complain about. It’s as if they look around with the sole purpose of finding something else to complain about. They see the world as half-empty and never half-full.
The pessimism of high school students is overwhelming. The world is not all bad. Sure a lot of things don’t seem to go right but there is always something good to be found. There is always a bright side of things. The world isn’t completely dark; in fact it’s full of light.
There is no need to constantly complain about everything you see. How different would high school be if people started saying things like, “This is great!” and “I love this!” People would smile more often and there would be a lot less anger and conflict between people throughout the school.
When people open their eyes and begin to see the more optimistic side of things there is less to complain about. Especially since most of the time the good ends up out weighing the bad. It may not seem like it but every situation has an upside or a happy ending, if you’re not careful you might end up complaining and miss it.
