Donations needed for local coat drive

Every kid deserves to be warm.

“Kids Helping Kids” is an organization that was started six years ago by a local Leander ISD student after seeing a peer out in the cold without a coat. Since then, “Kids Helping Kids” has been collecting coats to distribute to kids in the Leander ISD area.

Students interested in donating to this cause, can place new or gently used coats in the donation boxes at the AP office and front office.

Coats will be distributed to as many kids as possible on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 11a.m. – 2p.m. at Damascus Road Christian Church.

Because this is strictly for local students, the school hopes to make an impact with this donation opportunity.
