With fall finally here, here’s how to make your life look even more amazing with your social media updates
November 10, 2015
People use social media for all kinds of things. Some even use it to make their life seem a whole lot cooler than it actually is. And now since it’s finally autumn, the hush before winter, I have some suggestions for how to properly use social media in the fall so you can gain tons of likes.
You’re guaranteed a ton of likes if you bake cookies and take pictures of the process as well as the end result and post them on your Instagram. I know this sounds like a pain, but don’t worry, there’s so many ways around it. My favorite is to buy the cookie dough already made, put it into a bowl, mash it up, then take a picture to make it look like you made it from scratch. Maybe even take a picture of some eggs so it’s really convincing. Be sure to put the plate under some great lighting so it’s an awesome picture and choose your filter wisely. And there you go, everyone is going to think that you spent your day off in the fall baking delicious cookies. But you didn’t, did you?
Next you need to buy some fall candles and these are normally an orange color and smell like cinnamon, pumpkin, or the outdoors. Now I know most of you probably don’t know what the outdoors smells like, but it doesn’t really matter because the internet can’t actually smell the candle, which is the beauty of it all. Make sure you put your candle next to fall flowers, take a picture, choose a filter and make your caption something like, #flowers, #candle, #fall, etc.
Continuing on, you’re going to need to make some coffee or hot chocolate, it really doesn’t matter what you make because you’re not going to drink it, you’re just going to take a picture of yourself pretending to drink it. Make sure you update your Twitter or Facebook with a status that says something like “curled up with a good book.” Now don’t worry, you don’t actually have to read a book to do this. I know, phew, you can just pretend. For additional likes, wear sweatpants, a big comfy sweater, and have a blanket rapped around your shoulders.
And last, but certainly not least, even if you are not going outside, and let’s be real, you’re probably not, be sure to wear a scarf and boots then take a picture of yourself in the mirror to show all your friends your cute fall outfit. Make sure you tell Facebook and Twitter what the weather is like, because your state is bipolar and no other state is since your state is special. “Why do I have to live in *blank* where the weather is always so bipolar?”
If you just follow these simple steps, you’re guaranteed to get so many friends and so many likes on the internet and that’s all that really matters in life…Right?
