Position: Special Programs

Who was your high school celebrity crush? Andrew McCarthy! I thought he was so cute and a great actor. I really liked the movies he was in, like Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink.

What’s been the most interesting about Rouse so far? I came from a crowded school, so the space at Rouse is great and spread out. I also really like the students; they’re very friendly and I enjoy working with them.”

Besides your phone, what’s something you can’t live without? I really cannot live without my highlighters and colored pencils. I use colors every day for writing, circling, underlining, and so much more. I’ll even highlight things I might find interesting in the books I read.”

What’s a movie you could watch over and over? I could watch The Turning Point over and over again because it’s a movie about dancing and I’m a passionate dancer.

What movie do you never want to see again? The Pursuit of Happyness. It is so sad, but very moving. There’s a scene where Will Smith’s character has to sleep in the subway bathroom with his 8-year old son and it just really gets to me. I’m a parent myself, so it upsets me knowing that’s a situation you could very easily find yourself in with your child.”
