This classic hero story starring Alex Pettyfer is about an alien planet that is attacked and destroyed. The planet sent nine children to hide on earth and save their alien race. The “Mogs” are the aliens responsible for destroying main character John Smith’s home and are now tracking down the nine remaining aliens. This action packed movie was entertaining from beginning to end. The plot seems a little cheesy, but except for a few “sci-fi” worthy special effects, it was worth seeing. Dianna Agron, known for her role as Quinn in the TV series Glee, plays the damsel in distress and falls in love with Alex. It was a good story and the director left it open for a sequel so keep an eye out for a possible I Am Number 5!
