Freshmen, sophomore and juniors will take the PSAT test, Wednesday, Oct. 14 beginning at 8:45 a.m. Testing will take approximately three hours. This year’s test is very different because of the change in grading and less questions. Incorrect answers will not be counted against the overall score.

LISD has asked parents to not schedule appointments for students to be off campus that morning. Students will need to bring their own calculator as well as two No. 2 pencils for the test.

All sub-campus students will test at their home campus.

While 9th, 10th and 11th graders are testing, seniors will attend Senior Transition Day. The day will include four rotations providing information on caps and gowns, Project Grad, college applications, scholarships, transcripts and SAT/ACT resources.

One rotation will focus on yearbook-related items including senior portraits, senior ads and senior credits. Seniors will vote for senior favorites during this session. Voting is only allowed during Senior Transition Day so it is strongly advised seniors attend the transition day.

Seniors should head to auditorium lobby between 8:15 and 9 a.m. to pick up their name tag which indicates their rotation schedule. Rotations will run from 9:05 a.m. to 1 p.m.
