With almost 60 new faculty & staff members added to the 2015-16 faculty, the Rumbler staff profiled all new team members to help Raider Nation get to know them.

Position: I am an administrative assistant to the counselor. I help out with the Dean of Instruction. And in the spring I help out with the upcoming AP tests.

Favorite Austin restaurant? PF Changs. I love it because it’s Asian cuisine.

Why did you want to become a teacher? My mother was a first grade teacher. My mom taught school at home. I like children and enjoy working in a classroom.

What is something cool you did this summer in your off time? I didn’t really do anything cool this summer, but I did go on a cruise to Cozumel, Belize and Honduras on spring break with my daughter.

What is a TV show that you loved to watch in high school? The Andy Griffith Show. I liked it because it was so funny and such a clean show that my parents allowed me to watch.

What is a TV show that you love now? NCIS is the show I love. My husband started to watch the show. I love the characters. And the plot is wonderful. I also enjoy the element of medicine and biology in it.

What’s something people would be surprised to know about you? I wore an Ole Miss shirt because I lost a bet with John Graham.
