The Royals competed at the American Dance and Drill team Lone Star Senior state contest Saturday, Feb. 19. They received first place for Officer Contemporary, second place in Team Jazz, Hip Hop and Junior Ensemble. The Royals also received Best Overall Precision and Best Overall Choreography Awards. Juniors Briette Moser and Josh Bush performed a duet and received first place in the duet category, and sophomore Paige Jankovic received third runner up in the solo category.
