Theatre auditions today for fall show

Theatre auditions are today for students interested in being part of the fall show. This year’s show is Leading Ladies, a 1950s play about two struggling Shakespearean actors who try to pass themselves off as the long-lost relatives of dying woman to receive her fortune. But things get out of hand when it turns out the relatives are nieces not nephews, and one of the character’s falls for one of actual nieces.

“It’s funny. It’s highly entertaining for the audience,” theatre director Stephane Smith said. “Wonderful characters that Rouse students can play well.”

Auditions are Thursday, Aug. 27 from 4-9 p.m. in the auditorium. Actors should bring prepared a one minute comedic monologue that is from a play or an original piece. They also need to bring a completed audition form available on the theatre website or by clicking here.
