Update: Rouse’s location will close if more students do not attend the free breakfast and lunch.

A summer food program, sponsored by Leander ISD and the Texas Department of Agriculture will provide free meals for children ages one to 18.

The program takes place at six different locations, Monday through Friday, from June 8 through August 7. The program will serve breakfast from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and lunch from 12 to 1 p.m.

Families are not required to attend any LISD school or be residents of Leander, nor do parents need to apply to the program. Parents just need to bring their child to a summer meal site to get the free meal. Also, adults can purchase breakfast for $2 and lunch $3 at any location.
