This year’s Royal Revue will take place in the auditorium April 30 to May 2. The dance teams and classes will perform during the four shows.

“I’m excited to finally perform my first year as a Royal,” sophomore Royal Keesley Strohschein said. “The show is going to be super stressful, but also really exciting.”

The Royals and the Rhythm Dance Company are performing in all four shows as well as the schools newest dance team The Royal Rookies. The dance classes are also part of the show; Dance I is performing Thursday and Friday night, and Dance II, III and IV will perform in the Saturday show. The Leander Middle School Tigrettes will perform in the Thursday show, Wiley Middle School Silver Spurs in the Friday show, and the Stiles Middle School Golden Sparks in the Saturday show. The varsity color guard team is performing in all four shows, and the JV team is performing in the Thursday, Friday shows.

This year’s theme is “Archetypes.”

“Each routine is a different archetype so we have the criminal, the lover, the revolutionary, the visionary,” dance director Amy McKee said. “Each team will portray an archetype.”

The show’s theme was created by senior Royal, Social Officer Lindsey Woods, and was chosen for its versatility.

“We liked it and we thought it was a great concept,” McKee said. “It had great ideas we could use throughout the entire year, not just for spring show.”

Performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday with an additional 1 p.m. show Saturday. Prices are $8 in advance and can be bought online at rouseroyals.com for $10. Tickets bought at the doors are $10.
