Meghan Trainor
Title [Deluxe Edition]
Epic Records
Released: Jan. 9, 2015
This album is one packed with 13 of Meghan Trainor’s rockin’ original pop songs that vary in universal themes from being proud of your body, to drunk texting and being anxious on your dates. An album definitely geared toward teenaged girls, her best song was without a doubt her first released song “All About That Bass” which went all over the radio shortly after its release this past summer. An empowering song for females with the message that you should be proud of your body saying “don’t worry about your size.” This also was a very catchy song. The most displeasing song in this album was her song “Leave A Kiss”, song about being desperate for someone’s love back. It simply didn’t fit in with the more sassy, upbeat feel of all her other songs, and just didn’t fit in with the sassiness that the whole album presents. Given that this is Meghan Trainor’s first album. She undeniable has established herself as an artist. Being very defiant and bold, you can expect her future albums to spark a sense of rebellion to you and those you listen along with it’s sheer originality and how relatable it is for teens everywhere.
