SUMMER: The warm weather, the relaxation, the fun. With summer just around the corner, it’s time to make sure you’ve got all your assignments taken care of and you’re ready for finals. With only a few weeks left of school, make the most of your time so you can enjoy June, July and August. Grade: A+

TESTING 1, 2, 3: Students felt very anxious as AP testing approached. With the tests being the first two weeks in May and a week of STAAR testing mixed in, students were a little frantic. Obviously, it was inevitable for the test to happen but scheduling them separately would have been better. At least we have Advocate back now. Grade: C-

LAPTOP DILEMMA: Freshmen received personal laptops earlier this year and are now given the choice to take them home for the summer or have the school house them over the break. But less than 20 percent of the freshman class has taken advantage of this opportunity. Since the district requires students being given the exact same laptop next year, the school will have to meticulously store and label 500-plus devices. Grade: B+

FACULTY FAREWELL: With Glenn High School opening we’re losing 22 teacher positions on campus. While some are going to Glenn, others are moving onto other schools or outside jobs. It’s sad to lose so many teachers in one year. Grade: D-

BYE BOSSES: Not only are several teachers leaving next year, but Principal John Graham and Superintendent Brett Champion are both moving on to new jobs next school year. Graham is leaving the school to be the Senior Executive Director of School Improvement for the district while Champion is leaving Leander ISD to take the top position in Klein ISD. Grade: D-
