The winter guard finished their season, taking sixth place at the Texas Color Guard Circuit state competition, April 11.
“I was disappointed at first,” senior Molly Dwight said. “But when I realized how many people had been there and how close the scores were, I was proud of what we accomplished.”
They competed against 33 other schools with their performance beginning at 9 a.m. Their show was titled “Fairy Land” and featured soaring flags and practiced skills,
“I felt like our hard work paid off a lot,” senior Maddie Bonvillian said. “I was really excited because even though we made sixth we were still in the top 10. I’m so proud of my team and all the successful moments that happened throughout the year. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to our winter guard season.”
