The junior varsity and varsity boys’ golf wrapped up their season at their district tournament, March 31-April 2.

“We played not even to half our potential, but hopefully next year we will be better,” junior Ross Carpenter said.

The varsity top individual was junior Jack Barnes with a 2-round score of 171, followed by Orwick with a score of 172.

“I’m proud of our team and how we did throughout our tournament season,” junior Colin Massey said.

There are no seniors on the team this year, so everyone will potentially return to play again next season.

“I feel that next year since we’re gonna be really senior heavy, we’re gonna have to do really well and come together as a team,” junior Alan Orwick said. “We have a lot of potential next year to win, and if we work hard and practice a lot we’re definitely gonna be able to compete.”

The varsity girls’ golf team finished their season seventh in the district, April 7-8.

“The season wasn’t bad, we definitely improved a lot,” junior Harlee Rae said. “We definitely did better than we all expected. I love working with my teammates, they’re just fun people to be around.”

Junior Chloe Richard led the team with the lowest rounds.

“It’s a really fun game to play, and the people on the team are awesome,” Rae said. “Our coach is really encouraging. The game is more about having fun, for our coach, he really encourages us to have fun and not focus on the bad scores.”
