Cross Country Q&A with junior Suede Mora

Do you guys have any pre-game rituals?
Before the meet we all drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. We also say a little prayer and have a little pep-talk with the coaches to get our spirits up.

What school is your toughest competition?
Cedar Park High school is definitely the toughest competition. They are all really fast and stay close together which makes for a good team standing in districts.

What are your hopes for the season?
As a team we want to go to state.

Which race are you most looking forward to?
The Corpus Christi race because it’s over night and we all enjoy it because we get to hang out and bond as a team. I don’t know what it’s called but I know it’s in a couple of weeks.

What is something you want to change from last year?
As a team we want to do better overall. We know to accomplish this we must all work harder and push ourselves.

Do y’all have any post-meet rituals?
After a race we usually hang out. This always includes food and a lot of jokes.

Who will make the biggest impact on your team this year?
Our coach is going to make the biggest impact this year. He helps us put in what we need to in  order to like what comes out of this season.

We will advance to regionals if we….
If we don’t get ahead of ourselves. We have to know the opportunity won’t just be handed to us, we have to run hard to win.

What’s something fans should know about y’all as a team?
We are the loudest and proudest team in the nation… The Raider Nation.
