Seven students received All-Star awards at the UIL One-Act Play Zone A competition, Wednesday, March 25. The OAP cast performed their production Tartuffe at Cedar Park High School.

“[The cast} was phenomenal,” director Stephanie Smith said. “It is one of the strongest casts I have ever worked with. Every single member of the show was great. There was not a single weak person in the bunch which made the whole entire cast very strong.”

OAP insetJuniors Kaila Burritt and Weston Beckham and senior Kayla Peterson all made the All-Star Cast. Junior Taylor Criswell was named to All-Star Tech while seniors Dana Noel, Tristan Biedermann and Dre Eason made Honorable Mention All-Star Tech.

“To be honorable mention was definitely an honor,” said Biedermann, who played the lead Tartuffe. “It was really fun to play such a strange roll that you could definitely relate to nowadays.”

Vandegrift’s Importance of Being Earnest and Dripping Springs’ Eurydice advanced to the district OAP competition.
