Why Not Tutorials?

RHS is a school determined to find the best in each and every student. One way the school is trying to do this is by offering tutorials in every department. Although a specific teacher might not be there all the time, they have arranged a schedule with other teachers so there is always at least one teacher in each department available.
However, 83% of the students surveyed said that if their teacher is not there, they do not feel comfortable attending tutorials with another teacher in the department. “My teachers don’t always offer tutorials when athletes need them” said swimmer, Toni Schmidt.
Of students surveyed, 58% said that they do not attend tutorials on a regular basis. Ms. Auld, the CO-OP teacher, said that she did not believe that the students in need of tutorials came often enough, or at all. Only three in ten students said that they attended tutorials more before a big test.
Ms. Auld believes that “Tutorials are invaluable to a student’s success in school; I’d love to see more students take the initiative and come!”
