Senior Devon Peterson placed sixth overall with a score of 74 at the Star Ranch Tournament in Hutto on Nov. 1.

“It felt great,” Peterson said. “It definitely achieved those first time goals, but the pressure is definitely on.”  

The varsity boys’ team finished in sixth out of 20 teams. They earned a score of 312, only three strokes short of the school record.

“It was a pretty good feeling,” senior varsity player Marco Cruz said. “Knowing that your team can get up to a high shot is pretty great.”

Their next tournament is on Nov. 29.
