Shaylas foodKebabalicious

The spoiled brat kebab is a delicious triple-packed protein kebab with beef, lamb and chicken. The falafel was a perfect match with the smooth hummus. The Greek tzatziki sauce had a promising but not overbearing taste of cucumber. With the crunch of the pita bread, I’d say this is one of the best places to go for a summer bite. With an inviting atmosphere, the food trucks were placed perfectly placed surrounding the picnic tables. –Shayla Anderson

baileys foodBrunch Haus

Ideal is the best way to describe the Chicken n Waffles. My order consisted of two deep fried chicken thighs on top of a savory waffle, and was topped off with a unique ginger clove lemongrass syrup. The odd pairing of the crispy chicken and the sweet waffle together soon had me ready for seconds. The interior of the food truck, and food park in general, m ade it a very inviting experience. One thing that kind of threw me off was the price. $11 for one waffle and two pieces of chicken? Although it was a delicious meal, I would’ve enjoyed it more if it were a few dollars cheaper, but maybe that’s just me. Besides the price, Brunch Haus and my food created the ideal setting of what a brunch should really be. -Bailey Kerns

Kaileys foodCoat and Thai

Serving fresh Thai food, Coat and Thai is a food truck located in The Picnic on Barton Springs Road. I ordered the Pad Thai for $8 which included eggs, green onions, bean sprouts and my choice of chicken, beef or tofu. Wrapped in foil like a b urrito, the meal had the perfect amount of sauce and my choice of chicken added a nice flavor to the noodles. After each bite I enjoyed the dish a bit more and I will definitely be back.  –Kailey Hahn

Mighty ConeMighty Cone

Wow, is all I can say about the Hot & Crunchy Shrimp Cone. This meal came in a cone that was lined with a tortilla. Inside the cone was shrimp and avocado, fried in almonds, sesame seeds, chili flakes, corn flakes and seasonings, and was mixed with a mango-jalapeno slaw. To begin, the fried stuff didn’t taste oily or heavy but instead was flaky and had just the right amount of crunch. And the avocado, even though it was fried, was the most green I’ve ever seen an avocado. For $6.50, Mighty Cones has me sold on their delicious cone. –Jordan Buie

Shaylas cupcakeHey Cupcake!

If you’re looking for the perfect sized cupcake Hey Cupcake! is where you need to go. The red velvet cupcake is a fluffy, moist cupcake that was like heaven in my mouth. Instead of using regular icing, they took a twist with this classic red velvet and used cream cheese. The red sprinkles on top gave a delightful taste. After a meal this is the best go to dessert for a small yet satisfying taste. –Shayla Anderson
