The IntoneNation Show Choir will have their annual performance, April 21 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is free although suggested donations are $3 for students and $5 for adults.

“Going to a show choir performance isn’t like any other fine arts program,” sophomore Josh Brown said. “You get to be alive and have fun. Unlike a normal choir concert where you save your applause for the end and have to sit in silence, show choir is about getting loud and being happy.”

Director Julie Rhodes and her students put together the show that will consist of 24 students sharing in a lineup of songs like “Dance with Me Tonight” and “Joint is Jumpin’. They’ll also sing a wide range of genres including music from Billy Joel, the Beatles and Lady Gaga.

“There’s a lot of work put into concerts,” Brown said. “We have to polish both our choreography and our vocals so that we can perform to the best of our capability. Blood, sweat and tears, minus the blood and the tears…so yeah, a lot of sweat.”
