Theatre department offering summer camp for middle school students

The theatre department is offering a summer theatre camp for middle school students, June 22-25. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and concludes with a performance Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m.

Campers should bring a one-minute memorized monologue and a sack lunch each day.

Attendees will work with high school theatre students and take different acting classes each day, including improvisation, musical theatre, movement, voice, stage combat and how to rock auditions. Select scenes will be performed for the public on the auditorium stage, June 25.

The camp is $200 and includes a T-shirt. Incoming sixth, seventh and eighth graders are encouraged to attend. To register and pay online, go to www.rousetheatre.com.
