Tommorowland features Casey (Britt Robinson) who teleports to a magical land with the touch of an old pin. Casey finds the pin on the floor as she’s being released from jail. With a touch of the pin, she’s transported to a dreamy world just out of reach. The soft, light filled land is covered in expansive fields with a fog cloaked castle sitting in the distance. Casey’s journey leads her to meet a genius hermit who knows a thing or two about Tommorowland. Together they embark on a journey to uncover the secrets about the seemingly parallel universe. The trailer raises some questions due to a muddled plot summary and awkwardly cut clips, but the concept and imagery awakens a yearning for adventure and exploration. Interesting and unique, Tommorowland could be a great early summer flick. –Jules Kasper

San Andreas
PG – 13
May 29, 2015

No year would be complete without a movie revolving around a crumbling civilization. In San Andreas the viewer can expect to be treated with quite the disaster movie. Centering on the San Andreas fault line, the movie seems to be about the worst case scenario (expect quite a bit of drama) for California if this fault were to rupture, splitting the state from the rest of the country. The trailer showcases plenty of daring near death escapes and utilizes The Mamas and The Papas 1966 hit California Dreamin’,” slowing it down to add a haunting and ominous irony to the death and destruction unfolding in the trailer. With jaw-dropping visual effects and technological achievements only possible in the modern age, San Andreas promises to be a dramatic start to the summer movie franchise. Tyler Roberge

Jurassic World
PG – 13

Opening with dramatic music, majestic scenery and terrible parents sending their children to their impending doom without any supervision at all, the Jurassic World trailer begins with two brothers sent to the new Jurassic Park, 22 years after the previous incident with John Hammond, the original creator of the theme park. The new park portrays a vast variety of new dinosaurs, lush scenery, advance technology and giant water monsters as tourist attractions. We learn the research scientists made their first genetic hybrid dinosaur to attract more tourist attention (probably not the best idea). Staying with the whole Jurassic Park theme, the hybrid dinosaur escapes and starts killing park employees and terrorizing the park. Chris Pratt is the new hero who hunts down the escapee dinosaur, but obviously in put in perilous situation as we watch him running for his life from a giant carnivore, and riding with a pack of loose velociraptors on a motorcycle. Still leaving questions and hints to overwhelm movie viewers, the trailer made this new movie release look like a film worth watching for new and old fans or regular people hunting for a good film. If you enjoy drama, action, suspense and intense scenes with giant dinosaurs terrorizing people, then I suggest you take a giant dinosaur bite out of this film when it hits the theaters. –Dominick Dao

Ant-Man
PG – 13
June 17, 2015

Ant-Man is going to be the 12th installment of the Marvel Universe, so of course the trailer, even if it is only a teaser trailer, is going to be fantastic. The music was slow, but not haunting. The wide landscape shots of both the Golden Gate Bridge and the area of town where Pym Industries is located is gorgeous. The special effects that we get glimpses of, the giant ants and the technology in the corporation, show promise for the movie, since a lot of it will be shot as if our main character Scott (Paul Rudd) is the size of an ant. The teaser does show hints at the plot, which is a pretty good accomplishment for a teaser trailer. All in all, the teaser does exactly what it is intended to, and does intrigue people, at least enough to wait for the actual trailer. –Savannah Crosby
